Nature Garden (post-mortem)

Play It LDJam 45 Background I created this game as an entry for the 72-hour Ludum Dare 45. The theme was “Start from Nothing”. This is the second LDJam that I’ve participated in, and I feel like my entry this time around was much better than the last one. Idea behind Nature Garden My idea with Nature Garden was to create a game where you started with absolutely nothing (literally a barren island) and you’d have to control natural forces to get certain things to grow.

Favorites of LDJam 45

LDJam Theme Visit the site here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/45 The theme for this Ludum Dare Jam was Start with nothing Check out my entry Nature Garden or read the post-mortem. Favorite Games #1: Medieval City Sim Place buildings to build the city with the most points: I loved this game. It uses Kenney’s Bit-Pack spritesheet and font. The game has good replay value, I think I played it 4 or 5 times before coming up with a good city.

Nature Garden (Jam Game)

Check out the Unity project on github git clone git@github.com:fdorothy/nature_garden Description Simple clicker game made for LD Jam 45 (theme: start with nothing) This is a simple clicker game. Plants will grow and you have to harvest them when they are ripe, but before they die! You are a demigod and can control some natural events, such as bee swarms, cow swarms and rain. These can help your little island grow if done at the right time.
